The Australian Pro Bono Centre (APBC) is an independent centre that aims to assist the Australian legal profession to provide pro bono legal services. APBC has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by providing information for practitioners on how to deal with the increased demand for pro-bono services. Law Society of Western Australia
Law Society of Western Australia (LSWA) has set up a page with COVID-19 information and resources specifically for legal practitioners. The resources cover numerous areas including CPD events, support for law practice and business, lawyers as essential workers, communicating with courts, legal and other organisations, and mental health support. LSWA has a member assistance service with free telephone counselling and the LawCare WA service which uses a holistic approach to wellbeing and resilience. The Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) as the national regulator of charities provides support and resources to charities and not-for-profits. ACNC has recognised that the continued COVID-19 restrictions are affecting charities ability to operate and function.
