The Law Access CEO was honoured to be invited to speak about the impact of family law pro bono at the annual conference on Sunday 22 September 2019. We also staffed a stall throughout the conference and were delighted to receive feedback form the many generous family lawyers who have taken our pro bono referrals.
A highlight for Law Access was a panel discussion on “The intersection of family law and protection and care” chaired by Magistrate Horrigan of the Children’s Court of Western Australia. The panelists were Magistrate Crawford of the Children’s Court of Western Australia, Magistrate Anderson of the Family Court of Western Australia and prominent Legal Aid Independent Children’s Lawyer Robin Cohen.
The one hour session was packed with some attendees standing and inspired a number of practitioners to put their names forward to join the Law Access Protection and Care Pro Bono Panel.
